Is Eclipse finally getting cozy with Sun?
I’ve long wondered if the Eclipse foundation, with all its successes, would eventually run into issues due to the competitive support provided by Sun behind the NetBeans initiative. Apparently Mike Milinkovich (of the Eclipse Foundation) said Eclipse has recognized its first committer to an Eclipse project came from Sun, (into the SWT for x86 Solaris, and Simon Phipps (of Sun) approached the Eclipse Foundation regarding Sun developers contributing to other areas of Eclipse. I’m hoping this continues.
