Integration with existing IT infrastructure and applications is a key requirement for most applications - and the Force.com platform (disclaimer: I work for salesforce.com) provides substantial functionality for it. In fact, a substantial part of our functionality is accessed today through web services api's rather than web user interface. We can chat more and I would be glad to have a conversation and learn more about financial services.
