OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES
Monday, 12th June
On Monday, 12th June you can participate in your choice of activity. These activities incurr an additional cost and would require you to arrive in Barcelona by Sunday, 11th June. You will be transferred from the conference centre at around 9:00am and will return by around 4:00pm, in time for the welcome reception.
Note: Each activity requires a minimum number of participants. Should the minimum not be met, you may be required to substitute your original choice with another activity.
Gourmet School of Tapas - 200
Learn the tricks of the trade at one of the best cooking schools in Spain. The day begins at the world famous La Boqueria Market and is followed by a practical class. Learn how gastronomic delicacies are prepared and create them on your own, using the ingredients purchased in the market and with hands-on instruction from the chefs.
Barcelona from All Angles - 260
See the highlights of the city using a combination of helicopter and segway (motirised scooters). Explore the marvels of the city from the beach to the historic lanes of the old quarter, to the heights of the Collserola Mountains. You will depart from the hotel on segways and end the tour with cocktails on the landing strip.
Barcelona Sailing Regatta - 250
Professional skippers will give groups a short tutorial briefing of safety on board and the participants' functions on the sailboat. You'll then practice out on the open water just off the coast of Barcelona. Then the games begin
each group has to work together as a team in an effort to win the regatta.
Penedes Wine Tasting - 160
Take a trip to the Penedes wine region of Catalunya, the home of Cava. Visit the cellars of the famous Torres producer, a trailblazer for modern Spanish wine. Enjoy a luxurious lunch at the property, sampling different wines with each course (Approx. transfer time 45 minutes each way).
